To enhance the quality of health and life of the elderly, disabled, sick and homebound community by the delivery of the nutritional meals and a Well Being Check by the volunteer drivers.
What We Do
Volunteer Your Time and Talent
Terre Haute Area Meals on Wheels relies on people just like you to lend your time and talent to help us deliver meals to seniors, disabled individuals and citizens unable to prepare meals for themselves. You can volunteer once a week, twice a month, once a month, or on a PRN basis. It takes less than 2 hours each time you volunteer. You will find it very rewarding to see the smiles you bring to those we serve that have no or few visitors.
Deliver meals to our clients using your own vehicle.
We deliver Monday – Friday year round.
We ask you to arrive at 10:30 am on your scheduled delivery days and allow 1½ hours for delivery time.
Your group can deliver meals to our clients as a one-time event or take turns driving regularly on a weekly or monthly basis.
