Who We Are
SHINE was officially founded in 2019, but has been serving the Wabash Valley since 2017 under the name Borrowed Hearts. We serve all of Indiana and nearby Illinois counties, but focus on DCS region 8: Vigo, Vermillion, Clay, Parke, and Sullivan counties.
What We Do
SHINE Foster Family Resources provides everything a child placed in foster care might need from hygiene items and clothing to furniture and toys. All items in our store are donated from the Wabash Valley community and are distributed to foster families & bio families referred by area DCS agencies undergoing reunification or family preservation cases.
