About JA Finance Park:
Teens rarely think about buying health insurance, childcare, or evaluating investment choices. At JA Finance Park, they do! JA Finance Park combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a fully interactive, life scenario simulation. Students in 7th-12th grade are introduced to personal finance and career exploration. They receive family and income scenarios and identify lifestyle goals. They also explore and learn about different budget categories, create a budget, make purchasing decisions, and pay for their expenses. In this tablet-based program, students assume a persona of a provider for a family and must accommodate the needs of the family without overspending. The time spent at JA Finance Park may only be one day, but the impact this experiential learning provides will last a lifetime!
