The Sisters of Providence are deep into planning a fun & festive Christmas Fun at the Woods event on Saturday, December 13th from 1:30-4:30 PM. This is a family event with many stations all over campus including face painting, cookie decorating, hayrides, visiting Santa, Christmas sing-a-long, and much more!

Volunteer Services

We are looking for some friendly volunteers to greet customers and be cashiers in the White Violet Center Farm Store!

We sell our organic grown vegetables and herbs, pasture-raised hen eggs, apple cider, seeds, plants, in addition to food items from other local farms...such as cheese, syrup, honey, candles and more.

Farm store volunteers are needed at least one day during the week. We prefer someone to volunteer on the same day every week or every other week.

We operate an eco-justice center to educate and model a way of life that recognizes the interdependence of all creation. Be apart of helping us create a positive change to our environment. Work in our organic four-acre garden or help with our herd of alpacas!

Enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Volunteer time is flexible (during the week days) and depends on your schedule.

Choose where you would like to volunteer: weeding, planting, working with the chickens or alpacas, and much more!

Volunteer for a week, a month, or a season.

There are many programs to choose from:

- Helping at the farm

- Gain office skills at our welcome desk

- Visiting and/or helping to facilitate activities with elders in a health care setting

- Tour guide of Holy Places on campus and/or eco-justice projects

- Interviewing Sisters and writing about their life 

Assist with activities for persons who are elderly and in health care--BINGO, parties, and craft projects. Share one of your talents during group activity time--playing the piano, dancing, presenting on topics of your interest, and so on. Spend time with individual residents by reading to them, having a friendly chat, doing pet therapy, helping write letters, and so on. 

Welcome visitors to our Sisters of Providence grounds and guide people on tours of shrines and holy places on the campus. Tours are given to children through adults, during the week and on weekends.  You will only volunteer when you are able.

Welcoming and friendly person with a willingness to be oriented to the sacred and holy places of the Sisters of Providence. 

Training is provided. No previous experience is necessary.
