Description

The Social Media Volunteer will report to the Executive Director/Founder, Development Director, and when necessary, the Board of Directors. The expected time commitment is 2-3 hours per week. The Social Media Volunteer will help our organization build its online presence by creating, scheduling, and sharing engaging content (text, images, video) across our existing platforms (Facebook and Instagram), interact with followers where feasible, monitor trends, and develop campaigns to raise awareness, drive traffic, and support the mission.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:
● Learning and utilizing all existing brand guidelines and social media operating procedures
● Writing posts for our existing social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
● Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Volunteer when applicable to write
captions and maintain brand consistency
● Scheduling posts via social media scheduling tools (Canva)
● Monitoring social media for likes, comments, notifications etc and responding where feasible
● Creating campaigns for expanding likes, followers and reach
● Communicating with CWL staff and stakeholders on social media issues
● Assisting with other social media projects that arise
● Proposing new platforms that could help increase awareness of our mission
● Where applicable, maintain excellent financial records for our treasurer/tax preparer
