The Community Outreach Volunteer will help our organization connect with the
community by raising awareness, building relationships with local resource groups, developing
community and resource-focused events, and representing the organization at community gatherings
and events. Evening/weekend availability is preferred. Expected time commitment is 3-5 hours/week,
although this could vary depending on events.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:
● Attend and represent our organization at community events including tabling and networking
events and resource group meetings
● Research prospective community events that could help increase awareness of our mission and
generate a community outreach annual calendar
● Developing an annual community resource event hosted and/or moderated by Covered With
Love
● Gather and maintain information from event attendees, for example “Join Our Mailing List” and
volunteer list
● Work with Donor Relations Volunteer to have all community member and event host
information (newsletter, potential donor or volunteer sign-ups) entered into CRM
● Maintain excellent financial records for our treasurer/tax preparer

Volunteer: Donor Relations Coordinator Volunteer

The Donor Relations Coordinator is a volunteer position reporting to the Executive Director/Founder, Development Director, and when necessary, the Board of Directors. The expected time commitment is a minimum of 5 hours/week. This position is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining a donor base ensuring sustainability of the organization, creating strategies and their implementation. The Donor Relations Coordinator will also personally cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects for the organization.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:
● Assist with data entry, updating donor profiles, and ensuring records in the CRM system are
accurate
● Coordinate and execute strategic plans and programs that increase funding capacity
● Oversee the communication with donors and potential donors, building relationships with donor
prospects and cultivating and maintaining established donor, sponsor and partner relationships
● Draft personalized thank-you letters, emails, and impact reports; respond to donor inquiries
● Craft donor-related information or announcements and send to the Marketing and
Communications Volunteer to include in newsletters and blog posts
● Coordinate donor appreciation activities, recognition events, and milestone acknowledgments
● Work with Executive Director/Founder and Development Director to establish Major Gift
standards and procedures, including the donation amount and prospect cultivation strategies
● Use major giving fundraising and marketing tools as well as create new major gift fundraising

This volunteer will play a critical role in the organization's fundraising efforts by helping to secure essential funding from foundations, government entities, and corporate sources.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:
● Identify and research potential grant opportunities from various funding sources that are
relevant to our mission and programs and add to the grant prospect list
● Assist in drafting clear, structured, and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and
supporting documents (including narratives, objectives, and evaluation criteria) tailored to each
funder's guidelines
● Work closely with staff, volunteers, and the Board of Directors to gather necessary data,
