We help people recover from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. We believe that recovery is a dynamic change process through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives and strive to reach their full potential. It is not simply abstaining from using drugs or alcohol. It involves improved functioning across all sectors of a person’s life.
One essential resource that enables individuals to achieve and maintain a life in recovery is recovery housing within a recovery community. Next Step provides two men’s houses and two women’s houses, all located within a few minute walk of the main facility, where they attend classes, meet with individual mentors and socialize.
Volunteers help our organization by mentoring residents, teaching life skills, undertaking facilities maintenance tasks and assisting with administrative functions.
