Who We Are
For over 40 years, The West Vigo Community Center has provided recreational, educational, health and social services for the citizens of West Terre Haute and surrounding communities. We are a 501C3 and the only facility of its kind within our community. Our local schools which consists of 3 elementary, a junior high, and high school, serve an 89% free and reduced lunch population. The West Vigo Community Center provides programs for youth, adults and senior citizens, all with a focus of promoting a healthier lifestyle, organized activities, and a safe, structured environment. We provide an after-school program that includes a supervised open gym, homework assistance and healthy snack. Our Youth Basketball Program included over 180 players ages 5-14, as well as a Men's League that is comprised of 6 teams. The West Terre Haute Little League uses our facility for indoor practices, try-outs, and workshops. Our Community Center is often host to community activities including fundraising benefits, celebrations, and funeral dinners. The West Vigo Community Center employees and Board of Directors are proud of the services we are able to provide in our area.
