Description

"You can change someone's life...including your own."

Volunteers may assist in a number of ways:

  • Work directly with patients and families by providing individual patient support/companionship
  • Provide support at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital
  • Provide caregiver respite to allow the primary caregiver time to run errands, go to doctor appointments, etc.
  • Assist with bereavement support
  • Read to the patient
  • Assist with office work such as mailings, clerical support or helping with special events

Wherever your talents lie, Hospice of the Wabash Valley has a place for them.  We serve Clay, Parke, Vermillion, Sullivan and Vigo Counties.  Volunteers can choose which county they want to volunteer in as well as what activities they wish to assist in.  For more information about the many volunteer opportunities available, please contact Hospice of the Wabash Valley at (812)234-2515.
