Volunteers can make a difference in the lives of ViaQuest patients in many ways. Some opportunities include:
- Basic companionship
- Reading
- Music therapy
- Pet therapy
- Providing caregiver relief/support
- Knitting, crocheting, quilting
- Monthly check up calls
- Running errands
- Light house work
The ViaQuest Hospice volunteer program takes into consideration volunteer interests, talents, and availability in order to ensure a fulfilling experience for both the patients and volunteers. Volunteers are required to complete a background check, TB test, and short orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator.
