Devaney Elementary JA Students need you! Junior Achievement is currently searching for 15 volunteers to help in K-5 classrooms. Junior Achievement provides Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Work Readiness education to K-12 students through our JA Program Kits. Each kit is designed specifically for students at each grade level and includes all materials, games, and paperwork needed to complete the program.
Junior Achievement Volunteering Information:
- Junior Achievement programs at the Elementary level consist of 5 sessions running 30-40 minutes each
- To teach one class (program) a total time commitment of 2.5 to 5 (including travel time) hours can be expected.
- Junior Achievement teaches K-12 students about Financial Literacy, Work Readiness, and Entrepreneurship.
- All volunteers will be provided a program kit with very easy to follow directions, all materials, and all games/ game-pieces.
- The schedule is very flexible and is negotiated by the volunteer and teacher.
- The teacher always stays with the volunteer in the classroom to assist as needed.
